Sustainable Contract Projects

Our projects are designed with a focus on sustainability at their core.

Our Commitment to Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

At the heart of our operations lies a deep commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We recognize that the furniture industry often relies heavily on natural resources, particularly wood, a material whose overconsumption can contribute to deforestation and environmental degradation. As a company dedicated to crafting high-end furniture, we believe it is our responsibility to minimize our carbon footprint and implement sustainable practices across all aspects of our work.

Sustainably managed forests play a vital role in mitigating climate change, as they are carefully harvested in a way that maintains biodiversity, protects ecosystems, and ensures that forests continue to thrive for future generations. By using timber from these sources, we support responsible forest management practices that prioritize long-term sustainability over short-term gain.

In addition to responsible sourcing, we strive to incorporate energy-efficient technologies, reduce emissions in our production processes, and promote eco-conscious designs that minimize material waste. We believe that sustainability is not just a trend but an ongoing commitment that shapes the future of our industry.

Our vision is to create furniture that is not only beautiful and durable but also ethically produced with respect for nature. By aligning our production methods with our environmental values, we aim to set a positive example within the industry, proving that luxury furniture can be crafted in harmony with the environment.

SVLK (Sistem Verificasi Legalitas Kayu) is the acronym of Indonesia’s national timber legality assurance system, which is a mandatory legality and sustainability certification system built on a national multistakeholder consensus.

Under Indonesian law, SVLK certification and related documents (SVLK certificates and export licences called V-Legal Documents) constitute proof of legality for Indonesian timber products. Until the start of FLEGT licensing, Indonesian products with a V-Legal Document that are exported to the EU will have to go through the normal due diligence process under the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR). Once FLEGT licensing starts, FLEGT-licensed products will be considered comply with the EUTR requirements, meaning that no due diligence is required.

While the EUDR is a European legislation, its implications are global. Companies placing or exporting the affected products in or from the EU market will have to conduct due diligence to confirm that the products have not been sourced from land which was deforested or degraded after 31 December 2020. Companies will also have to verify that these products are compliant with relevant legislation of the country of production, including respect for human rights, and the rights of affected Indigenous Peoples.
